Lazy days of summer. . .

I love summer - I love sitting in the shade reading a book and feeling the heat and sun. In our region, sunny days are cherished because they are few and far between.  But this summer has been HOT. Not just warm, but hot.  My days outside have been limited, so now I'm looking forward to fall, when the air is crisp and full of leafy aroma (as we are closer to winter, the chilly sent of snow in the forecast).

This summer I'm taking a class toward my Educational Administrator degree. Much of my reading has been -- let's be honest -- boring. The writing for the course --  boring.

My pleasure reading has been anything but boring. Here are some of the books I've read this summer.
  1. 50 Shades of Grey (all 3)
  2. Hourglass & Timepiece by Myra McEntire
  3. A Night Like This by Julia Quinn
  4. Lady Amelia's Mess and A Half by Samantha Grace
  5. Perfectly Matched: A Lucy Valentine Novel by Heather Webber
  6. A Family To Cherish by Ruth Logan Herne
  7. Dangerous in Diamonds by Madeline Hunter
Add that to my own writing -- I'm just at finish line for my young adult novel - Experiment in Popularity.

Now it's almost August and I'm looking forward to reading some classics that I visit each year.  I love these books and each time I read them it is as if I picked them up for the first time.

  1. Jane Eyre Charlotte Bronte
  2. Pride and Prejudice Jane Austen
  3. Wuthering Heights Emily Bronte
What are you reading or planning to read?  What are your favorites you revisit just because you love the book so much?

That's it according to Maddy~
